Flight, Technology, & Shooting Sports School

Featured in SCOUTING Magazine Oct. 2011

The F-16, Technology, & Shooting Camp Week at SR2 is a demanding and intensive week. We offer up to 18 STEM and shooting sports merit badges for participants. It is a VERY busy week! We have a VERY talented Technology staff, plus experienced NRA and archery instructors.

We mix in a lot of FUN! You’ll perform nights ops missions to rescue downed pilots, fly simulated air combat missions in our 16 networked F-16 simulator cockpits, and go swimming to cool off.

Scouts age 13 and older and Venturing Crew members can sign up individually or as a unit. Some merit badges have additional materials fees.

What You Bring, What You Get

All food, tents, program, and leadership are provided. Participants should bring uniforms, clothing, swim suits, sleeping bag or blankets, cots, and shower and bath supplies.

The sixteen F-16 simulator cockpits are networked to allow Scouts to communicate and fly missions together or as opposing teams. Simulators are set in F-16 cockpit sections with replica ACES II ejection seats. Simulators use big screens and the same HOTAS (Hands On Throttle & Stick) used in many military simulators. Participants in the flight school will do Aviation Merit Badge in the our flight simulator cockpits. Standard fees apply for Merit Badges.
